At Core Children’s Services, we believe in a proactive approach to early intervention. By working closely with children, young people, their families and Local Authorities, we aim to resolve issues before children’s development is disrupted by exclusion, being taken into care or alternative measures.
Wherever such costly and disruptive approaches are inappropriate, we can invest in their prevention, and help to improve the stability of a young person’s welfare, through early interventions.
For some parents, taking care of children and young people with behavioural difficulties or who have offended can be immensely difficult. When families are struggling to cope with challenging attitudes and behaviour, alternative care becomes a serious consideration. Whereas foster care is a necessity with many cases, some families may just need support early on in the process, preventing any resulting issues later on.
Children and young people who experience disengagement from learning, poor progression, bullying, peer pressure or difficulties at home can come under threat from exclusion from school, due to protracted disaffected or challenging behaviour.
We offer preventative measures to promote inclusion. By providing education and tuition support, mentoring and the option of alternative education, we work with young people and families to help them make progress and improve their outcomes.
