Working with families

At Core Children's Services, the child is always central to everything that we do. But we also consider the needs of the whole family. We understand that families are at the heart of a healthy society and delivering family support services to the most vulnerable families is critical to prevent poor outcomes for children and young people.

Uniquely, Core Children's Services offers a wide variety of family support services. Our multiple disciplines of support services for families embrace a range of experienced and trained professionals working within our organisation, enabling us to offer a high quality 'wrap-around' service tailored to individual needs.

We also understand the importance of forming relationships with family members to provide a flexible and sensitive approach that meets the whole family's needs.

Our approach to supporting families

Through early interventions, we aim to increase participation and improve achievements of disadvantaged young people. This means delivering targeted, personalised family support which prevents the emergence of subsequent problems for children and young people.
