Direct Payments and Individualised Budgets

For families who prefer to have child specific services through Direct Payments or an Individualised Budget, Core Children’s Services Disability Team can help. We have the knowledge and expertise to provide excellent services for your family and provide you with the invoices and paperwork that you need. Our Direct Payment and Individualised Budget services include:

• Overnight breaks, within a short break carer’s home or the disabled child/young person’s own home
• Breaks during the day, with care available in the child’s home and elsewhere
• Breaks in universal settings, delivered through the support of a befriending, sitting or sessional service

Core Children’s Services Disability Team can also provide:

• Family support
• Home based care services (e.g. washing, feeding, dressing)
• Support to carers away from home on family holidays
• Independent life skills to assist in transition to adulthood
• Person centred individual care packages
• Day care, holidays and activities
• Palliative care

We recognise that each family have individual requirements. If you need something which we don’t list please contact us.

Our services to your family always includes:

• A home visit to discuss the services we can provide and to establish the needs of your child/young person
• Individual matching with a worker and/or carer 
• Regular scheduled reviews to ensure the service is meeting the needs of your child/young person and your family
