Family Support Services

At Core Children’s Services, we are dedicated to supporting Local Authorities in ensuring that, wherever possible, families can live together.

Core Children’s Services provides a range of family intervention programmes designed to support troubled families, often where children and young people are at risk of becoming looked after or entering the youth justice system.

Who benefits from family support services?

For some families, the ability to live together is threatened by factors that can compromise their safety and stability. These include a wide range of issues such as:

  • Offending behaviour
  • Mental or physical health concerns
  • Substance abuse
  • Domestic violence
  • Unemployment

Core Children’s Services can offer these families a range of support services to prevent such measures as foster care or youth justice intervention, and enable swift rehabilitation and self-sufficiency within the home.
