Family Support Services

At Core Children’s Services, we are dedicated to supporting Local Authorities in ensuring that, wherever possible, families can live together.

Core Children’s Services provides a range of family intervention programmes designed to support troubled families, often where children and young people are at risk of becoming looked after or entering the youth justice system.

Who benefits from family support services?

For some families, the ability to live together is threatened by factors that can compromise their safety and stability. These include a wide range of issues such as:

• Offending behaviour
• Mental or physical health concerns
• Substance abuse
• Domestic violence
• Unemployment

Core Children’s Services can offer these families a range of support services to prevent such measures as foster care or youth justice intervention, and enable swift rehabilitation and self-sufficiency within the home.

What family support services can we offer?

Based on a range of evidence-based family intervention projects, Core Children’s Services provides bespoke support services to families across the UK, including:

• Targeted Interventions to address issues for sustained change

• Family Reunification support for children returning to their birth families

At Core Children’s Services, our aim is to reduce family reliance on public services and help create safer, stronger families.
Through our range of proactive and reactive family support services, we hope to empower families to be healthier, stronger and self-sufficient, thereby potentially reducing the levels of crime and anti-social behaviours in our young people.
