The TRAC 11-24 Service is about reducing the number of young people aged 11-24 at high risk of becoming NEET in North Wales, throughout a range of interventions that compliment mainstream services. Our service offers four options and we can also offer bespoke packages.
Option one: Jamie Oliver Home Cooking Skills – Level 1
Our innovative programme enables young people who are at risk of disengagement from education and training to develop skills and achieve a BTEC level 1 accreditation.
Option two: Young Womens Group
Groups of up to 6 young women will be supported to gain formal qualifications, including NOCN functional skills in Literacy and Numeracy and a range of ASDAN short courses. Young women will also participate in enrichment activities, to help them stay safe and increase self-esteem.
Option three: Get Ahead Programme
Specifically focuses on developing employability skills. This programme is tailored to young people’s individual needs, including CV workshops, developing self-motivation and supported visits to education provisions.
Option four: Pathway
To identify aspirations and goals the young person wants to achieve. We will then put into place a personalised support plan with manageable steps to enable them to achieve their desired outcomes. This will have a positive impact by removing barriers to engagement and providing clear pathways into work placements, apprenticeships and accredited training programmes, reducing NEET figures.
